Vietnam: Closed consultation on Law on Digital Technology Industry including copyright protection regulation

On 2 September 2024, the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) closes its public consultation on the Law on the Digital Technology Industry, including copyright protection regulation. The law delineates the prohibited acts in digital technology industry activities. Infringement of intellectual property rights is also included among others. In particular, the illicit appropriation, transfer, or sale of the results of research and development in digital technology products and services is prohibited.
