China: Closed consultation on AI Technical Standards in Ninth Batch of Industry Standards Development and Revision Plan 2024

On 24 July 2024, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) closed a consultation on a set of AI technical standards as part of the ninth batch of industry standard development and revision projects of 2024. The consultation covers 12 proposed industry standard projects on AI within different industries. The projects include standards on AI use in large model training data processing and quality evaluation, visual data automatic labelling, neural network model conversion, neural network model pressure shrinkage, deep fake voice detection, high-speed camera analysis, computer and industrial vision, logistics parks, and the steel industry.
