Issued Revised Advisory Guidelines on enforcement of the Data Protection Provisions

On 1 October 2022, the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) issued advisory guidelines on the enforcement of the Data Protection Provisions (PDPA). The guidelines explain the various powers conferred on the PDPC to enforce the PDPA, including alternative dispute resolution, reviews, investigations, and powers related to voluntary undertakings. Each of these powers is extensively detailed in the guidelines, along with the main objectives of the PDPC when exercising its authority under the PDPA.
