United States of America: Issued revocation notice against Binance by North Dakota Department of Financial Institutions

Description

Issued revocation notice against Binance by North Dakota Department of Financial Institutions

On 17 June 2024, the North Dakota Department of Financial Institutions published a revocation notice against BAM Trading Service, which is registered as Binance.US, withdrawing its money transmitter license. The Department revoked the license because, among other points, it found that Binance failed to maintain sufficient permissible investments, its majority owner plead guilty to an anti-money laundering violation, and because Binance suspended fiat payments to its customers who held funds in fiat currency.
