G7: Adopted G7 Apulia Declaration including cross-border data transfer regulation

On 14 June 2024, the Leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) adopted a declaration following the meeting from Apulia, which includes measures and commitments supporting the operationalisation of Data Free Flow with Trust (DFFT). The declaration aims to enhance the interoperability of AI governance approaches among G7 members, promoting greater certainty, transparency, and accountability in cross-cutting economic activities. The declaration reiterates the commitment to operationalising DFFT to enable trustworthy cross-border data flow between jurisdictions.
