Description

Signed Russia-Brazil cooperation program 2025-2026 on improving legislation and enforcement practice in digital markets

On 7 June 2024, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia and the Administrative Council for Economic Defense of Brazil formalised their commitment to regulatory cooperation in the field of competition policy through the signing of a Cooperation Program for the years 2025-2026. This agreement builds upon the foundational 2001 agreement between the Russian Federation and the Federative Republic of Brazil. The program outlines a framework for exchanging legislative acts, methodological recommendations, and antitrust enforcement experiences. It also includes provisions for mutual invitations to training programs aimed at enhancing the regulatory oversight of digital markets and other sectors of significant social impact.
