Published Stage 2 report of Enhancing Cross-border Payments project

On 13 July 2020, the Bank for International Settlements published the stage 2 report of the Enhancing Cross-border Payments project. In particular, the report identifies 19 "building blocks" where public and private sector efforts could enhance cross-border payments. The building blocks are distributed into five areas: public and private sector commitment; regulatory, supervisory and oversight frameworks; existing payment infrastructures and arrangements; data and market practices; new payment infrastructures and arrangements.
