Argentina: Introduced Law for Preventing Gambling Addiction including consumer protection regulation

On 7 May 2024, the Bill for Preventing Gambling Addiction was introduced to the Argentine Parliament. The Bill aims at raising awareness about gambling addictions and developing prevention and intervention strategies. The Bill would require websites to publish a health warning message informing about the negative consequences of gambling. Additionally, the Bill would restrict the online advertising and promotion of games of chance.
