Issued Tagansky District Court ruling in public lawsuit against Ivi over alleged non-compliance with prohibition of the promotion of non-traditional sexual relations

On 27 May 2024, the Tagansky District Court of Moscow issued a fine of RUB 1.2 million against Ivi for displaying on its platform same-sex relationships among minors, violating Part 2 of Article 6.21.2 of the Administrative Code. The fine was specifically imposed for incorrect age labelling of the film "The One". Under Law No. 478 prohibiting the promotion of non-traditional sexual relations, online platforms displaying this type of information are blocked, whereas, on paid audiovisual services, the content can be available if the users can confirm their age. Advertising and films containing non-traditional sexual relations references are banned.
