On 23 May 2024, the White House issued the United States of America-Kenya Joint Leader's Statement, which includes commitments on cooperation in digital technology. Both nations committed to strengthening cooperation on policies concerning technology sectors to support Kenya's digital economy and promote digital inclusion continent-wide. Additionally, the United States recognises Kenya as a crucial partner in strengthening semiconductor supply chains. In particular, the parties are committed to enhancing cybersecurity cooperation and supporting artificial intelligence (AI) innovation. They will establish a Strategic Dialogue on AI to deepen collaboration in developing safe and secure AI systems.
