Launched Korea-OECD Digital Society Initiative

On 20 May 2024, Korea and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) officially launched the Digital Society Initiative. This initiative aims to establish a permanent cooperative network among OECD member countries and Korea focused on digital norms, including policies regulating artificial intelligence (AI). The initiative will function as a global policy platform, enabling countries to share cases and policies related to the digital economy. Participating countries will investigate the social impacts of digital intensification worldwide, share their responses, laws, systems, and policies, and publish summary reports of major activities through regular meetings.
