Russia: Drafted Bill on the collection and storage of industrial data including data protection regulation

On 22 May 2024, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade published a draft of a Bill on the collection and storage of industrial data in order to safeguard data of strategic importance. The Bill lays out a procedure for collecting, storing, and using industrial data and provides for a legal exchange of data and the conditions for its circulation. Furthermore, the Bill would establish that data may only be disclosed with the consent of the "industrial data subject".
