United Kingdom: Closed consultation on Voluntary Code of Practice for Software Vendors

On 9 August 2024, the Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology (DSIT) closes the public consultation on the Voluntary Code of Practice for Software Vendors. The code of practice outlines 21 provisions across four principles aimed at ensuring software security from design to deployment. The Code distinguishes between mandatory actions and recommended actions for senior leadership in vendor organisations, aiming to standardise secure software development practices.
