Germany: Anti-censorship measures in Cologne regional court v. YouTube

On 11 October 2021, the Regional court of Cologne has prohibited YouTube from deleting two videos of the "#allesaufdentisch" campaign, through two interim injunctions. According to the Court, the video platform did not provide enough information about which passages violated the YouTube guidelines. The uploader further has a contractual right for the upload of videos as long as they don't violate YouTube's terms, which in this case was not fulfilled according to the court. YouTube has the right to appeal the decisions which would force the regional court to further examine the case and decide if the ruling and interim injunctions are to be upheld or withdrawn.
