Implemented Amendments to Tracking Service Regulations

On 1 May 2024, the Communications, Space & Technology Commission of Saudi Arabia (CST) adopted and implemented an amended version of the Tracking Service Regulations in Decision No. 555/1445. The amended version replaces the previous version approved in CST Decision No. 1442/455. The Regulations outline the registration procedure for providers of tracking services through Global Navigation Systems technology. Further, they set out the obligations of user rights, including transparency, data retention, and reporting requirements.
