European Union: Signed European Commission and Ofcom administrative arrangement on enforcement of Online Safety Act and Digital Service Act

On 13 May 2024, the European Commission and the UK's Office of Communications (Ofcom) announced the signing of the administrative arrangement for the enforcement of the Online Safety Act and Digital Service Act (DSA). The collaboration aims to support both entities' supervisory activities over online platforms, aligning with the EU's DSA and the UK's Online Safety Act. The arrangement focuses on several areas, including the protection of minors online, the implementation of age-appropriate design technologies, enhancing the transparency of online platforms, conducting risk assessments, and evaluating the societal impacts of algorithms.
