Adopted TC260 Batch of 16 National Cybersecurity Standards

On 25 April 2024, China's National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee (TC260) adopted 16 national cybersecurity standards. The standards aim to enhance the security and resilience of cybersecurity technologies across various sectors and will come into force on 1 November 2024. In particular, the standards GB/T 18336.1-2024 to GB/T 18336.5-2024 focus on information technology security assessment, ranging from general models and security components to predefined security requirements packages. Similarly, standards GB/T 33563-2024 and GB/T 33565-2024 address security technical requirements for wireless LAN clients and access systems, respectively, reflecting a targeted approach towards enhancing wireless network security. Additionally, the standards GB/T 43694-2024 and GB/T 43696-2024 introduce specifications for certificate application interfaces and establish a zero-trust architecture model. Furthermore, the GB/T 43698-2024 details security requirements for software supply chains for maintaining the integrity and security of software products throughout their lifecycle.
