Canada: Published GCBPR System Program Requirements and Intake Questionnaire

On 30 April 2024, the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules (GCBPR) Forum published a questionnaire with the certification requirements for recognised accountability agents to assess companies seeking certification for the CBPR system. The questions include whether the applicant provides clear and easily accessible statements about their practices and policies that govern the collection, handling, and sharing of personal information. Further, the document includes information to be provided regarding the consent obtained from the data subject for the collection of personal information.
