Description

Issued MIC White List for verified local service providers that comply with the online advertising laws

On 23 March 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) of Vietnam published the first "White List". The White List spreadsheet comprises three tabs, each of which categorises verified local service providers that are suitable for displaying advertisements. The total number of entries for each category is as follows: press agencies (301 entries), aggregated information websites (1'381 entries), and social networks (953 entries). Each entry includes a licence number and a website link. The licenses listed exclusively apply to local entities, while offshore service providers fall under separate regulations outlined in Decree No. 72/2013/ND-CP concerning Internet service management and provision, exempting them from these licenses. The objective of this list is to assist businesses and advertisers in making informed decisions by enabling them to select platforms that have been recognised for maintaining legal compliance and content authenticity.
