Issued Philippines declaration on accession to the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules Forum (GCBPR)
On 21 April 2022, the Philippine National Privacy Commission issued a statement announcing that the Philippines has joined the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules Forum (CBPR), an initiative promoting the secure international flow of data by establishing certification for adherence to data privacy standards. The Global CBPR Forum expands upon the APEC CBPR and is open to non-APEC members as well.
