Announced establishment of European Commission Digital Markets Act Whistleblower Tool

On 30 April 2024, the European Commission announced the establishment of the Digital Markets Act (DMA) Whistleblower Tool. The tool is designed to enable individuals to report if the entities designated as gatekeepers engaged in actions and practices in violation of DMA. The initiative supports the enforcement of the DMA. It facilitates the reporting of infringements such as the use of parity clauses, non-public data exploitation, unauthorised data combination and cross-use, self-preferencing, and other non-compliant practices under Articles 5, 6, and 7 of the DMA.
