Argentina: Published progress report on Regulation, Supervision and Oversight of “Global Stablecoin” Arrangements

A progress report on the implementation of the Financial Stability Board recommendations concerning the regulation of “Global Stablecoin” arrangements has been published. The report discusses the significant market and regulatory developments since October 2020, describes the implementation of the recommendations across jurisdictions and comments on the state of the review of the existing standard-setting body (SSB) frameworks, identifying areas for further international work. In particular, the report notes that the implementation of the recommendations is still at an early stage.
