Russia: Introduced Federal Law 'On Amendments to Article 9 of the Federal Law “On Personal Data”' (Bill No. 608384-8)

On 22 April 2024, the Amendment of the Federal Law 'On Amendments to Article 9 of the Federal Law “On Personal Data”' (Bill No. 608384-8) was introduced into the State Duma. The Amendment would require, during the initial collection of consent to the processing of personal data, the indication of the method for withdrawing consent. Further, data subjects should be able to withdraw their consent through the same method and form as the one through which they initially gave consent.
