Adopted CNITSEC Safety and Reliability Assessment Work Guide for IT Products (Trial)

On 4 March 2024, the Information Technology Security Evaluation Center (CNITSEC )adopted the Safety and Reliability Assessment Work Guide (Trial). The guide provides information on the evaluation of safety and reliability for basic software and hardware products, including central processing units (CPUs), operating systems, and databases used in computer terminals and servers. The evaluation covers the entire lifecycle of the products, from research and development to after-sales maintenance, focusing on core technology, safety assurance, and sustainable development. Enterprises are encouraged to voluntarily apply for product testing at the CNITSEC and the National Confidentiality Technology Evaluation Center. The regulation aims to ensure the safety and sustainability of IT infrastructure and software products.
