Republic of Korea: Launched Korea-US AI Working Group for ML and AI Development

On 12 April 2024, the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, in collaboration with the United States, launched the Korea-US Artificial Intelligence (AI) Working Group. The initiative follows the Next Generation Core and Emerging Technology Dialogue from December 2023. The Working Group will focus on bilateral cooperation in the development of machine learning and artificial intelligence, international AI standards, research cooperation, policy interoperability, and international AI governance.
