United States of America: Request for information on usage of biometric technology in the public and private sector

On 8 October 2021, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) issued a request for information (RFI) on the usage of biometric technologies by both the public and private sectors. The submission period for comments will close on 15 January 2022. The request is made to interested parties and seeks to understand the use of biometric technology to verify identities, identify individuals and infer certain attributes of individuals, such as their emotional and mental state.
