Signed US-Ukraine Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cybersecurity

On 4 April 2024, the US Department of the Treasury and the National Bank of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) relating to Cooperation in Cybersecurity. The MoU represents a renewal of the MoU on cybersecurity and operational resilience, which was first established in 2020. The MoU aims to enhance the operational resilience of both nations' financial sectors through the continuous exchange of information on cybersecurity threats. The renewed MoU aims to promote transparency, voluntariness, and confidentiality in sharing data on cyber threats, incidents, and best practices. It also facilitates bilateral engagement in expert forums, visits, assessments, capacity support, and training to develop cybersecurity defences in both countries party to the MoU.
