The Alaska Senate Bill 116 and House Bill 159 are introduced in the Alaska Legislature. The Bills aim to establish the Consumer Privacy Act, which includes the requirement to notify users of the collection, sale or disclosure of personal information as well as user rights to access and delete their personal information. Moreover, the Act requires the establishment of opt-out options as regards the sale of personal data and opt-in requirements as regards the sale of personal data pertaining to minors. Finally, the Act establishes a mandatory register for "data brokers".
