China: Opened consultation on TC260 Security Specifications for Generative Artificial Intelligence Data Annotation

On 3 April 2024, the National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee of China (TC260) published and opened a public consultation until 2 June on the draft national standard titled "Security Specifications for Generative Artificial Intelligence Data Annotation of Information Security Technology”. The draft standard aims to establish basic and advanced security requirements for data annotation in the development of machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies. The draft covers scope, references, terms, overview, basic and rule security requirements, personnel requirements, verification, and testing methods for data annotation. It also includes appendices illustrating AI data annotation examples and addressing security risks in corpora and content generation. The consultation seeks to gather feedback from relevant units and experts to ensure the quality of the standards.
