Description

Food delivery service companies file lawsuit against NYC fee cap

The owners of several major food delivery service platforms, including DoorDash, Grubhub, and Ubereats, have filed a federal complaint against the City of New York. The plaintiffs are requesting damages and an injunction against NYC Bill Int 2390-2021, which limits the number and amount of fees that food delivery services can charge food service establishments, and which was adopted by New York City Council on August 26th 2021. The bill is currently awaiting the mayor's signature.
