Introduced No Robot Bosses Act of 2024 including worker protection regulation (HR 7621)

On 12 March 2024, the No Robot Bosses Act of 2024, including worker protection regulation (HR 7621), was introduced in the US House of Representatives. The Act would prohibit employers from relying exclusively on an automated decision system when making employment-related decisions, mandating independent and human oversight of outputs used for employment-related decisions. Further, the Act would require timely disclosures from employers on the use, inputs and outputs of automated decision systems, as well as employee rights concerning the decisions aided by these systems.
