China: Consultation part of released draft version of the negative list for market access by China's economic regulator closed

On 14 October 2021, the consultation period closed for the draft version of the negative list for market access. The 2021 edition of the draft list outlines the sectors in which non-public investment is prohibited or restricted and it now includes 117 items, which is less than in the 2020 version of the negative list for market access, which had 123 items. However, the agency included cryptocurrency mining in the draft list and added new requirements for investments in publishing activities.
