Adopted report following inquiry into artificial development in France including recommendations regarding data protection authority governance

On 13 March 2024, the Artificial Intelligence Commission submitted a report to the President of the Republic containing 25 policy recommendations to incentivise Artificial intelligence (AI) development in France. The report recommends reforming the mandate of the Data Protection Agency (CNIL) and its board. The Commission also proposed to abolish certain prior authorisation procedures for access to health data and reduce response times.
