Description

Issued Government expert group recommendations for a framework for responsible large technological companies' use and development of artificial intelligence

On 29 February 2024, the Danish government's expert group on large technology companies presented a series of recommendations for the development and use of artificial intelligence (AI). The recommendations aim to use the potential of AI for economic growth, welfare, public services, and societal challenges while also addressing the risks associated with its misuse. The proposed framework focuses on four themes, large technology companies' responsibility for information credibility on their platforms, protection of children and young people from harmful AI use, regulation of unauthorised use of copyrighted material and market dominance in AI development. The government aims to ensure that AI contributes positively to society and the Danish economy while also limiting its harmful effects.
