Australia: Adopted MoU between Australian and Philippine Competition Commissions

On 29 February 2024, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation between the two competition regulators. The MoU aims to enhance the effective administration of competition law and policy in Australia, the Philippines, and the broader Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region. The agreement includes provisions for sharing best practices, conducting workshops or training courses, collaborating on projects of mutual interest, and notifying each other of investigations and activities that significantly affect their respective interests.
