Adopted Code of Conduct concerning data processing in employment agencies

On 14 February 2024, the Italian Data Protection Authority adopted the Code of Conduct promoted by Assolavoro, the National Association of Employment Agencies. The Code outlines good practices for data processing in the context of intermediation, research, and personnel selection activities. It introduces provisions to, among other things, protect job candidates from potential discrimination, limiting the data that agencies can process and restricting the use of social media and automated processing in pre-hiring stages.
