Opened Consultation on Arcom order on Conditions of Appropriate Visibility of Services of General Interest

On 12 June 2023, the Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority (Arcom) initiated a public consultation on the scope of services likely to be qualified as services of general interest (SIG) and on the design of a framework which ensures appropriate visibility of broadcasting services of general interest within user interfaces as mandated by Article 20-7 of Law No. 86-1067. The consultation is conducted within the framework of article 20-7 of the law of September 30, 1986, which provides that services of general interest are understood as services published by specific organizations and by the TV5 channel for the exercise of their public service missions.
