Adopted G7 Guiding Principles for Organisations Developing Advanced AI Systems including testing requirement

On 30 October 2023, the Group of Seven (G7) adopted the International Guiding Principles for Organisations Developing Advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems, which includes testing requirements. The Guiding Principles aim to promote a safe, secure, and trustworthy development and use of AI and list 11 principles that developers have to follow. Regarding testing in particular, the Guide states that developers should take diverse measures, including internal and external testing. Testing out to be carried out to ensure the trustworthiness, safety and security of systems throughout their entire lifecycle, and developers should seek to enable traceability,in relation to datasets, processes, and decisions made during system development.
