The Stop and Sanction Ransomware Act of 2021 has been introduced in the US Senate on 5 August 2021. The draft bill stipulates for the Secretary of the Treasury to institute regulations for cryptocurrency exchanges operating in the US to reduce user anonymity and make records related to ransomware incidents available to the Federal Government.
