Announced CNIL investigation into compliance with the right of access of data subjects

On 8 February 2024, the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) announced that as part of the third action of the Coordinated Enforcement Framework of the European Committee for Data Protection (EDPS), it would conduct investigations into the conditions of implementation of the right to access. The investigation aims to harmonise the effective application of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) and coordination between supervisory authorities. The results will be grouped and analysed at both national and European levels. This investigation is part of the CNIL priority themes of 2024.
