Adoption of European Electronic Communications Code
The European Electronic Communications Code ("EECC"), which establishes common EU rules on telecom regulation is adopted by the European Parliament and Council as Directive 2018/1972. The directive expands the applicability of the EECC to "interpersonal communication services" including mobile calls and messaging as well as OTT services.
