Somalia: Published Somalia DPA Guidance on Data Protection Regulation Implementation

On 3 February 2024, the Data Protection Authority (DPA) of Somalia published the Guidance on Data Protection Regulation Implementation. The Guidance provides concrete advice and practical steps which organisations can take to ensure compliance with Somalia's Data Protection Regulation. For example, the Guidance suggests raising awareness within the organisation, creating a data inventory, carrying out a risk evaluation, and developing a roadmap. The Guidance also explains key terms and obligations under the Data Protection Regulation, as well as consequences for non-compliance.
