Italy: Issued AGCOM order for the blocking of website line.sweet-4k.cc over illegal streaming of pirated content

On 5 February 2024, the Italian Communications Regulatory Authority (AGCOM) issued a ruling ordering service providers to implement a DNS block on the website line.sweet-4k.cc within 24 hours of notification. The ruling also requires automatic redirection to a webpage specified by the AGCOM. The order extends to all future domain names, subdomains, or IP addresses related to the same content. In case of non-compliance, the AGCOM will inform the Collegiate Body of the application of sanctions under Law 249 and notify the judicial police under Copyright Law. The ruling was notified to online service and telecommunication providers.
