On 1 February 2024, the Ministry of Communication and Information (MCIT), through the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappebti) of the Ministry of Trade, issued a ruling following an investigation into compliance with Commodity Futures Trading (PBK) regulations. The MCIT blocked 1’855 websites involved in PBK activities that were not in compliance with the sector's laws and regulations. The blocking was aimed at protecting the public from potential losses and providing legal certainty for business actors in the PBK sector. The blocked websites can be normalized if the owning entities process permits from Bappebti, demonstrating their intention to comply with the laws and regulations in the PBK sector.
