Announced Dutch Data Protection Authority Investigation into Uber's Alleged Infringement of Privacy Regulations against drivers

On 8 July 2022, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP) began an investigation into Uber Technologies, Inc. and Uber B.V. (Uber) for alleged failures to disclose certain information related to its data practices in violation of privacy regulations. The investigation is based on an initial complaint by French Uber drivers which was referred to the AP by the Frenh Data Protection Authority.
