China: Issued Report on National Blockchain Innovation Application Pilot

On 29 January 2024, the Cyberspace Administration of China, following a meeting on blockchain, announced the release of the "China Blockchain Innovation Application Development Report (2023)" and the "Blockchain Innovation Application Case Collection and Selection Results (2023)". The reports include findings of the pilot on blockchain use and list the innovative blockchain application cases selected to ensure industrial integration innovation and their integration in economic development. Based on the findings, the need for innovation-driven, system planning, demand-oriented, coordinated linkage, and standardised development to further promote blockchain innovation was stressed.
