Description

Opened consultation on Cyber Governance Code of Practice

On 23 January 2024, the British Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) opened a consultation on the proposed Cyber Governance Code of Practice until 19 March 2024. The DSIT recognises the increased risk for cyber security incidents through the growing digital economy and the accompanied need for regulation. The proposed code is designed to help directors of organisations of all sizes understand and manage cyber risk, integrating it into their existing business resilience and risk management practices. The code suggests actions in the areas of risk management, cyber strategy, people-related measures, incident planning and response as well as assurance and oversight.
