France: Adopted guidelines on data encryption and security in cloud computing

On 22 January 2024, the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) announced the publication of guidelines on data encryption and security in cloud computing. The guidelines provide a comprehensive analysis of different types of encryption, including encryption at rest, in transit, in processing, and end-to-end encryption. Additionally, they present security products that can be used to secure cloud services.
