Compare with different regulatory event:
On 12 March 2019, the EU Parliament passed EU regulation 2020/1056 on electronic freight transport information (eFTI) on first reading. The regulation requires transport or logistics operators to use certified eFTI platforms and systems in case they decide to provide regulatory information to competent authorities in electronic form - the provision of such information itself is not mandatory. In this case, machine-readable information shall be made available through a connection to a certified eFTI platform. At the request of the authorities, the same information must be immediately produced in electronic human-readable format as well, on a device which must be provided by the operator.
