China: Published Guidelines for the Construction of the National Automotive Chip Standard System

On 29 December 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology published the Guidelines for the Construction of the National Automotive Chip Standard System. The Guidelines aim to promote the development and implementation of automotive chip standards and support the research and application of automotive chips. The standard system will be established and improved in stages, prioritising the formulation of basic, common characteristics and key products. The Guidelines set out the kinds of standards which should be formulated for automotive, including the basic requirements for environment and reliability, electromagnetic compatibility, functional safety and information security.
